The short version: your shop's data is yours. We host it to run StockTill for you, and for nothing else.

This website

This site has no advertising, no analytics and no tracking cookies, and asks for no personal details. If you email us, we use your address to reply and for nothing else.

When your business uses StockTill

Your installation holds what a shop needs to run: products and stock, sales, suppliers, staff names and roles with scrambled (hashed) PINs, and - only if a customer asks for an emailed receipt - that customer's email address, used once to send it. For all of it, your business is the data controller and Automation Bureau Ltd is the processor: we host it, back it up nightly, and process it only to provide StockTill to you.

• Each business runs in its own separate installation with its own database - never mixed with anyone else's.
• Card payments are handled by Stripe; full card numbers never reach StockTill.
• Backups are encrypted at rest on the server's disk, kept 14 days, and exist only so your data survives a failure.
• We look at a client's data only to support them, and that access is logged.
• Everything is hosted in the United Kingdom (AWS, London region).

How long, and your rights

We keep your installation's data for as long as you are a client, and provide an export on request. If you leave, we delete it after a wind-down period (long enough for you to change your mind) except where law requires keeping records. For anything under UK GDPR - access, correction, erasure - contact us at info@automationbureau.co.uk; where the request concerns a shop's own records, we will route it through that business, which is the controller.
